Restaurant Remake, bang bang shrimp

If you’ve ever been to Boneheads, Humdingers, or Bonefish Grill then you have probably heard of or tried the mouth-watering tempura shrimp that has been tossed in a creamy and spicy sauce. When I heard that Food Network Magazine had recreated this dish for it’s readers and made the recipe available to the public-  I jumped on the chance to have this tasty treat on my table whenever I wanted to make it!

Just like most things you fry, they must be dredged.

Dredged and ready to FRY

After the shrimp is fried and drained, you put it in a mixing bowl….

Shrimp is fried!

and toss it with the homemade sauce

This sauce- YUM!

One nice things about making this dish at home is that you can control the spiciness!

After you toss the shrimp, the dish should be eaten relatively quickly as the crust on the shrimp will begin to get soggy. This shrimp can be served alongside  slaw, in a tortilla, or just the way it is below. Anyway you fry it— it’s delicious!

Enjoy!
